To operate for the purpose of bringing awareness to and resolving
environmental issues facing New England’s coastal marine communities
through citizen science-based research initiatives, educational outreach, and
other similar educational, scientific, environmental, and nonprofitable
activities.
In collaboration with local environmental organizations and research institutions throughout the United States, the group has been studying the impacts of invasive seaweed, periodic jellyfish blooms, and anthropogenic nutrient enrichment on coastal Nantucket Sound's waters.
